Thank you for visiting us at the Small Business Owners Association of Northern Kentucky’s website. We offer so much more than we can express here, and I invite you to join us at our next meeting.

The SBOA celebrates its 5^th anniversary in 2008. With each year we have helped more and more businesses grow and succeed with our education and business development opportunities. We are proud to offer timely and topical information to small businesses in a forum that is inviting and welcoming. Our members are eager to help businesses and to contribute to the well-being of our economic community.

Second Thursday Meetings

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at the Boone County Extension Office (6028 Camp Ernst Road, Burlington, KY 41005 MAP ). Informal networking starts at 8:20 a.m. Monthly meetings begin at 8:30 a.m. Each month an educational speaker provides information useful for home-based, micro- and small business owners.

If your business day includes answering the phone, scheduling, managing the budget, planning the advertising, meeting your clients' needs, making the coffee and mopping the floor -- then this is the group for you.

Who Are We?

While we've yet to have a zookeeper join us, our members own businesses that run the gamut from A to almost Z; artists, attorneys, accountants, beauticians, bed and breakfast operators, realtors, financial planners, horseback riding instructors, shop owners, restaurant operators, home-party planners, organizers, specialty products salespeople, interior designers, insurance agents, and more. We are home-based, micro- and small business owners working to help one another improve our businesses.
